なぜ、ポジティブ思考なのに幸せになれない人がいるかというと、ポジティブ思考が現実逃避の温床になっていて、その結果、さらなる不幸を招いているからです。上の話でいうと、自分が嫌われているかもしれないという現実から逃れてしまうと、不幸になってしまうということです。


■ポジティブ思考は、現実から目を背ける方便になりやすい

仕事でも同じです。たとえば、絶対にうまくいかないことが、リリース前に誰の目にも明らかになっている企画があるとしても、批判的な態度はたしなめられがちですよね。「そんなネガティブな発言は士気を損なう！」とかなんとか。「物事をポジティブにとらえる」とは、しばしば、現実から目を背けることにつながります。そして、現実というものは往々にして厳しいものなので、「ポジティブに考えることがよいことだ」と思い始めたとたん、都合の悪い現実を見ないことが、正当化されていくのです。
